Alleged Miley Cyrus hacker sentenced to three years probation

The man who admitted to hacking Miley Cyrus’ Gmail account, Josh Holly, was sentenced today to three years probation for stealing credit card numbers and breaking spamming laws.
Holly had pleaded guilty last April to stealing 200 stolen credit card numbers, and to a spamming scheme that reportedly earned him $100,000.
Holly was was spared jail time despite of the fact that he violated a judges order to refrain from using the Internet. On July 4 Holly allegedly posted the following on Facebook:
“I’m having these strong urges to start playing around and hacking shit again, there’s so much new stuff on the net. I can’t stop these urges. Am I a bad person?”
Holly was never charged for hacking Cyrus’ Gmail account despite the fact that he allegedly boasted online about doing so. It was this boasting that caught the authorities attention and eventually led to his arrest on the credit card and spamming charges.
